Whooping Cough (Pertussis)
Pregnant women are advised to have vaccination against whooping cough between 28-38 weeks of pregnancy. The UK currently has a large outbreak, and newborn babies have the highest risk of complications. Vaccination during the last 3 months of pregnancy provides increased immunity to your baby. Please make an appointment with the nurse.
Repeat Prescriptions
Please give us 2 working days for repeat prescriptions.
Sick Notes (Fit Notes)
You do not need to provide a doctor's certificate for the first 7 days of absence due to sickness
Booking an appointment
We have an online booking facility .
If you have not already registered for this, you can do this online. Your user ID will usually be available within 3 days, emailed to you if you let us have an email address.
Once registered you can:
book or cancel appointments
amend your contact details
request repeat prescriptions
Travel Vaccinations
We offer a travel service, but have limited appointments. Please book in plenty of time - at least 6 weeks before you travel. If your intended date of travel is in less than 6 weeks, you should contact a travel clinc, eg Hemel Hempstead on 01442 236733
Have you moved house or changed your phone number?
In a recent audit we found many phone numbers held by the practice are not obtainable. Please let us know if you make any changes to your contact details as soon as possible. You can do this online if you have registered for online services.
At your convenience
You can book your appointment up to 6 weeks ahead. Booking ahead increases your chance of seeing the doctor or nurse of your choice. We offer early morning and early evening services. Check online or phone for details. We offer text reminders for appointments and blood results. Please ask for details.
