Appointments

Appointment Times

Mon- Fri  8.30 am – 6.30pm

We offer some early morning (from 7am) and later evening appointments (until 7.30pm).  Please phone for details.  These are all bookable up to 6 weeks ahead. Booking early will mean you are more likely to be able to see the doctor or nurse of your choice at a time most convenient to you. Please make a separate appointment for each person who needs to see a doctor or nurse.

If you cannot attend at the time of your appointment, please ring to cancel so that we can offer your appointment to another patient .

Telephoning the Doctor

If you wish to speak to the doctor, please ring after 10.00am and the receptionist will advise you when a doctor will be available. Interruptions during surgery are upsetting for both doctors and patients. For this reason, receptionists have been asked not to disturb consultations with telephone calls.

Telephone booking

Please ring 01582 602082. Please ring after 10.00am, as the lines are very busy in the morning.

Urgent appointments

Each day we reserve some appointments for urgent problems which cannot wait.  If you need an urgent appoint please be prepared to give our receptionists some information to assess the level of urgency.

Home Visits

Please telephone 01582 664401 before 11.00am if you need a home visit. Please do not request a home visit if you are able to come to the surgery. The receptionist will ask some questions to assist the doctor in deciding the urgency of each case. Please provide the patient's name, address, age and your telephone number.

Out of hours - emergency calls only

If you require a doctor or advice URGENTLY outside normal surgery hours please telephone 0345 602 5695 The recorded message will give you the number to ring for the duty doctor or a deputising service. Or you may ring NHS Direct on 0845 4647.

PLEASE NOTE this service is for emergencies which require immediate attention. The doctor may speak with you over the phone and give advice, but will only visit you if he/she feels it cannot wait for surgery to open.
